Greenhouse Gas and Animal Agriculture Conference 2019

Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation – EMBRAPA, Agricultural Research Institute – INIA Chile, National Agricultural Technology Institute – INTA Argentina, University of Sao Paulo – USP and Sao Paulo State University – UNESP, are proud to announce the 7th GGAA – Greenhouse Gas and Animal Agriculture Conference to beheld from August 4 to 10 at the Hotel Golden Park Internacional Foz Convention and Events Center, in the city of Foz do Iguassu/PR. This is the premium international event on the subject of greenhouse gas emissions due to animal agricultural practices and takes place every 3 years, moving from continent to continent and 2019 will mark the first time in Latin America.
 
The city of Foz do Iguassu was selected to host the event for the first time in Latin America thanks to its excellent geographical location within the triborder region of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. The city boasts an international airport that connects to the leading international airports in South America and can easily be reached by Latin American participants via bus or car. Besides the facilitated access, Foz do Iguassu is further complemented by technical and scientific attractions part of the context of the conference, such as waterfalls, a national park, bioenergy and hydroelectric complex which can be included as technical visits.
 
Objective
 
To present the results on GHG emissions and removal through different production systems around the world, as well as advances in efficiency and the most popular and promising mitigation strategies. There is growing interest within society regarding emissions resulting from food production and also on the efforts by the industry to reduce them.
 
To bring together professors, researchers, professionals from companies and research centres and students from several areas of expertise to promote and discuss the conclusive and developing results of their studies and raise awareness on scientific projects underway involving national and international institutions.
 
To promote the integration of professionals that work with Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Animals Agriculture in different countries.
 
To promote updates and exchange of experiences and expertise among representatives of education, research and extension institutions, governmental entities, industries and farmers, with regards to Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Animal Agriculture production systems.
 
The program for the 7th GGAA includes technical visits, minicourses, conferences, round tables, technical sessions with oral communication and posters.
